Our Story

For those of you who don't know us, Michelson's Shoes is a Full-Service family shoe store. We pride ourselves in offering you a knowledgeable, courteous sales staff (over 600 years of experience combined!); a full range of sizes and widths for men, women, and children; and the inventory to fit you properly.

We are family-owned with currently the third and fourth generations involved on a daily basis. We originated as a shoe repair shop back in 1919 in Lexington Center, and through the years have transformed into what we are now, a full retail operation. We expanded to Needham in 1985, assuming ownership of another family shoe store, Wells Shoe. Our two stores stock identical merchandise, and to accommodate our customer's needs products are transferred daily.

In our stores we will use our experience to best suggest to you the proper product in the proper size, thus get you the proper product on the first try. Our stores and our staff are ready to work to save you time.

We see the Internet as a way to serve our current customers and to meet new ones. While we are the first to admit that your needs can best be served face-to-face in our stores, we understand you may not be local or your time may be limited. If you are unable to visit one our locations we are happy to service you via the phone. Our new online website will give you a great preview of products that we are allowed by our vendors to exhibit on our site. The shopping cart feature is available for your convenience.
